Automn colors
Thank you for visiting; Dimensional Colors features original art handcrafted copper enameled switch plates. Enameling is the process in which glass is fused to metal, in my case, using a kiln. I have a wide selection of colors and styles besides the art plates. My art is spontaneous, I don't copy any of the pieces I do. For the more amorphous designs (Styles page), the plates are more similar, as I use the same colors and technique to create the design. Each piece is fired individually, the number of firings range from 2 to 5. I've developed techniques using dry powdered enamels, as opposed to "wet" enamels, allowing me to create intricate images. Most of my plates are made with transparent enamels; by layering colors for the base coat, I can create lustrous colors that glisten; the images are also a combination of colors piled on top of each other. For stronger colors, I use an opaque enamels for the first coat.

Also available, are a variety of amorphous type designs. Flowing designs are created giving a more classic look, rather than the esoteric plates with obvious images. These plates can be viewed on the Styles page. Tiles and pendants available soon. I use UV rated, machine stamped solid copper switch plates. I enamel the screws to blend in, though some plates can use brass screws. I can do upt to the 4 gang switch size, outlets, GFI's and combination plates. I will also have 6" X 6" tile displayed soon.
